The Snowboard DECL (Division Education and Clinic Leader) team is a group of highly trained instructors who are responsible for running the various Snowboard clinics and assessments that the Division offers.

Biography
How did you get your start in this career field? I took a gap year from school and worked for a ski school in upstate NY, and then went to New Zealand that summer to participate in an instructor training course called Rookie Academy.
What inspired you to pursue the career you have today? The trainers I had during my first year of instructing inspired me to follow their path. It was way more fun and cheaper than college tuition!
What’s something you’ve always wanted to try but haven’t yet? Stand up comedy.
What surprised you most about working in this industry? The variety of people who are drawn to instruction always impresses me. Ski schools are like melting pots for culture.
What lesson are you most grateful for learning? How to seek and accept feedback.
