The Alpine DECL (Division Education and Clinic Leader) team is a group of highly trained instructors who are responsible for running the various Alpine clinics and assessments that the Division offers.

Ryan Ellison
Biography
How did you get your start in this career field? I have been surrounded by ski instruction since I was a child. My father still teaches. I was recruited to start teaching by the director Leif Grevle, who was my fathers ski school director when I was growing up.
What inspired you to pursue the career you have today? The ability to ski everyday and share the sport with others has been the guiding factor since I started.
What’s something you’ve always wanted to try but haven’t yet? Base Jumping.
What surprised you most about working in this industry? The amount of people from across the world who travel to try skiing for the first time.
What lesson are you most grateful for learning? That failure is good. It provides opportunities to learn and grow.
