All participants in winter events at Park City are required to wear a helmet. If you do not wear a helmet you will not be able to attend the event you signed up for. If you do not have a helmet, Park City will provide them free of charge at the rental shop on the day of the event. Course Description:
What does "Develop Trust" really mean? Come explore what trust adds to a lesson experience, and learn behaviors that can help you ensure that connection with your students.
Full Day, On-Snow. Qualifies as Assessment Prep Clinic or Continuing Education
Assessment Prep Goal: Prepare participants for the Teaching segment of the Alpine Level 2 or 3 Assessment by focusing on behaviors that contribute to developing trust.
Continuing Education Goal: Improve understanding of what trust is and how it contributes to successful lessons. Learn strategies for developing trust that will enhance lessons.
Clinic Outcomes: By the end of the clinic, participants will be able to:
• Discuss the effect of trust or lack of trust on lesson outcomes
• Describe behaviors that contribute to and detract from developing trust
• Break down trust into components to better understand how to create or re-build trust behaviorally

Clinic Experiences:
• Participants will collaborate with clinician and the group to determine a plan for improving trust building behaviors
• Clinic leaders will facilitate discussion related to the online trust topics (homework- discussion before going on snow)
• Clinic leaders will guide participants as they practice observational skills and participate in scenarios and/or case studies to learn how to share what they see as trust building behaviors
• Clinic leaders will facilitate reflection and review of clinic activities based on the outcome and provide insight into the strengths and weaknesses of the candidate's ability to develop trust through behaviors identified
Additional Event Details:
Associate Members (those who are unaffiliated with a member school) are required to provide their own lift ticket/pass to clinics and exams. If you have a season pass, please check the dates you are attending against blackout dates.
