Event Type: Education Clinic

Location: Park City Mountain - Canyons Base (Umbrella Bar at the top of the Cabriolet - meet at Umbrella Bar at the top of Cabriolet)
All participants in winter events at Park City are required to wear a helmet. If you do not wear a helmet you will not be able to attend the event you signed up for. If you do not have a helmet, Park City will provide them free of charge at the rental shop on the day of the event. Please check the resort website for all parking information.

Registration Information:
- First Chair Rate: $110.00 (available through Thursday, November 30)
- Last Chair Rate: $135.00
- CEUs: 6

Course Description:

Description - Teaching & People Skills (address specifics) clinic, a full-day on-snow. Qualifies as continuing education or assessment preparation.


Continuing Education/Assessment Preparation Goals

  • Investigate and analyze individual student needs
  • Use information to plan and deliver a lesson that is accurate and relevant: i.e. student centered
  • Develop a diverse set of communication skills


Clinic Outcome - By the end of this clinic the participant will consider how to plan and deliver accurate and relevant lessons within the context of a student's needs.


Clinic Experiences - During this clinic the:

  • The clinic leader will describe and discuss student needs as they relate to cognitive (understanding), affective (motivation) and psychomotor (ability) characteristics.
  • The clinic leader will demonstrate how to gather information with strategies that go beyond questioning
  • Participants will gather information by exploring the understanding, motivation and abilities of fellow participants without asking questions.
  • Participants will review how this information will help them adapt a lesson plan.





All PSIA-AASI members must follow the PSIA-AASI code of conduct.

All members participating in an Intermountain clinic or assessment must wear a helmet when sliding on snow using lift-accessed terrain.
